Men’s Volleyball Sweeps Emmanuel (Mass.); Norris Breaks Program Hitting Percentage Record
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's volleyball team defeated Emmanuel (Mass.), 3-0, by set scores of 25-21, 25-17, and 25-19 on Tuesday night at MacDonald Gymnasium.
Ethan Norris (Hollis, N.H.) powered the Gulls to their 10th straight victory behind a career-high 17 kills and a school record .850 hitting percentage (17-0-20).
The freshman setter/right side is the only student-athlete in program history ever to hit .800 or better in a match (minimum 20 attempts).
Aaron Bennett (Haverhill, Mass.) and Aidan Iacovelli (South Windsor, Conn.) were also efficient, as both student-athletes combined for 12 kills and a .480 hitting percentage (6 each, .500, .462).
Matty Tiernan (Bradford, R.I.) guided the attack to a season-best .443 hitting percentage (40K-5E-79TA) behind a 21-assist effort (51.2 assist percentage).
Dan Battista (Bethlehem, N.Y.) sparked the defense with a match-high 12 digs.
Tonight's match featured 20 ties (13-2-5) and eight (5-0-3) lead changes.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 23-9 in the all-time series (2-0 this season).
- The Gulls are receiving the second most votes in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll.
- Jake Laborde (Brookline, N.H.) registered a career-high-tying six service aces (4/9/25 vs. Sage, W 3-0).
- Iacovelli finished the matchup going 17-for-17 on serve-receive.

Endicott (11-3) visits Regis tomorrow at 7 PM. Emmanuel (6-8) travels to AIC tomorrow, also at 7 PM.
