BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team welcomed Western New England for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon and the Gulls came away with two victories. They won the first contest 4-1 and the second, 4-3.

The Golden Bears jumped out to an early lead in the top of the second inning when Dina DiBlasi (Norwalk, Conn.) blasted a solo home run into right center.

Endicott's Hayley Arduini (Southington, Conn.) responded in the bottom of the inning with a two-run homer of her own to give the Gulls a 2-1 lead.

The Gulls extended that lead to 3-1 in the fifth inning. During the bottom of the sixth, Olivia Odermatt (Cheshire, Conn.) got on base with a fielder's choice before rounding home on a triple to right center from Gina DeMilt (Princeton, N.J.) to secure the 4-1 win.
