Women's Lacrosse Upends Suffolk, 17-5
EAST BOSTON, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team remained undefeated in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Wednesday night as they defeated Suffolk, 17-5, at James A. Sartori Stadium at East Boston Memorial Park.
Abbie Belleville (Salem, Conn.) and Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.) led the way for the Gulls with hat-tricks.
Emerson Clark (Gloucester, Mass.), Leah Black (Cheshire, Conn.), and Grace McAfee (Upper Township, N.J.) all found the back of the net twice.
Keira Fletcher (Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.), Mia Kaczmarek (South Burlington, Vt.), Sophia Notine (Kennebunk, Maine), Mia Samarjian (Stow, Mass.), and Kenzie Velsmid (Hopewell Junction, N.Y. ) rounded out the scoring with solo tallies.
In goal, Severine Michel (Seekonk, Mass.) made five saves as her record improves to 4-0 this season.
The Blue and Green raced out to a 6-1 first quarter lead and never looked back. Samarjian finished with one goal and two assists in the opening 15 minutes to help propel Endicott. From there the Gulls then scored four straight to open the second quarter and led 10-2 at halftime.
The two teams then traded goals to open the third quarter and then the Gulls scored six of the final seven goals in the contest to secure the road victory.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is now 2-0 all-time against Suffolk.
- Gulls are now 3-0 on the road this season.
- Samarjian tied a season-high with four assists.
- First hat-trick of the season for Belleville.
- Allison Jordan (Amherst, N.H.) made her first career start on defense and led the Gulls with three caused turnovers and four ground balls.

Endicott (6-1, 2-0 CNE) returns home as it welcomes Roger Williams to campus on Saturday, March 28 for a 3 PM contest. Suffolk (5-4, 2-1 CNE) hosts Johnson & Wales on Saturday at 12 PM.
