Head coach Meghan Fitzgerald enters her third year as head women’s lacrosse coach at Endicott College.   Fitzgerald found immediate success in Beverly, leading the Gulls to a pair of The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) championships in her first two years at the helm. During that time Endicott has amassed a 31-10 record, including a perfect 20-0 in conference play, and made a pair of NCAA tournament appearances.

Last season, Endicott won its fifth straight conference crown and finished the season 16-5 overall. For the third consecutive season, and second straight under Fitzgerald, the Gulls boasted a spotless conference record (11-0). Fitzgerald earned TCCC Coach of the Year honors after guiding Endicott to 13-4 record during the regular season. Six of her players garnered all-conference honors highlighted by a pair of first team selections.

In 2009, the Blue and Green finished 15-5 overall and 9-0 in the conference en route to the program’s fourth-consecutive TCCC Championship. Seven Gulls earned postseason honors including seven all-conference nods and a pair of all-region selections.

Fitzgerald arrived at Endicott from Division II Stonehill College in North Easton, Mass. where she served as the assistant women’s lacrosse coach for four seasons, working primarily with the defensive unit.  During her time at Stonehill, the coaching staff held an overall record of 69 wins and 8 losses. In addition, the Skyhawks were undefeated in the Northeast-10 Conference and captured the Conference Championship each year. The Skyhawks earned berths to the NCAA Tournament in 2005 and 2007 – winning the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2005. In addition to her coaching duties at Stonehill, she also worked in the Office of Admission as a Senior Admission Counselor.

A 2004 graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, N.Y., Fitzgerald was a three-year starter on the William Smith lacrosse team under head coach Pat Genovese. During her four-year playing career, the Herons earned NCAA tournament berths in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Fitzgerald was named to the 2003 NCAA All-Tournament Team for her efforts in the NCAA semifinals. In 2004, she was named to the IWLCA All-New York Region Second Team and the NYSWCAA All-State Second Team. Currently, Fitzgerald serves on the IWLCA All-Pilgrim Region selection committee.

Fitzgerald earned a B.A. in Public Policy from William Smith College in 2004. She is originally from Sudbury, Mass. and graduated from Dana Hall School (Wellesley, Mass.) in 2000.
