Bio
Drew Canan is in his sixth year in the Endicott Athletic Department as an assistant coach for the football program He has also served as the Director of Intramurals since the summer of 2011.
In 2013, Canan will coach Endicott’s wide receivers, as he has done the past five seasons, as well as serve as the team’s special teams coordinator. Canan has coached four different NEFC All-Division wide receivers including 2012 graduate Mike Murphy, a Preseason All-American honoree who became Endicott's all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns under Canan's guidance.
For the third straight year, Canan will also be the academic advisor for the Gulls football team which has helped 63 student-athletes garner NEFC Academic All-Conference honors and four standout gridiron stars earn Capital One Academic All-America status.
Canan coached wide receivers at the Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale from 2005-07 prior to his arrival at Endicott. In 2006, Pine Crest went 8-2 accumulating the most wins for the program over the previous 15 seasons. Canan also served as the team’s video coordinator.
Canan, a graduate of North Reading High School, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management from Johnson & Wales University in North Miami in 2005 where he also competed for the school’s golf team for four years. He later received his Master of Education in Organization Management from Endicott.
