Bio
Paul McGonagle enters his second year as the tight ends coach for the Endicott football team.
McGonagle was an integral part of an Endicott coaching staff that led the program to a school record 10 wins in 2011 and numerous offensive records. Specifically, McGonagle coached senior tight end Taylor Allen to a career high 35 receptions, 482 yards receiving, and six touchdowns. Allen went on to earn BSN All-American Third Team and NEFC Boyd Division First Team All-Conference before signing an undrafted rookie contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Before Endicott, McGonagle spent four years as the head coach at Fitchburg State University where he coached one of the nation's top offenses with the NEFC's leading passer and running back. Falcons running back Marlon Thornton was named a four-time all-conference running back as well as an all-star by the New England Football Writers Association and Offensive Player of the Year by the Worcester Area Football Association.
McGonagle has served as offensive coordinator at Bentley (2003-04, 2006-07) and Stony Brook (2004-06), running backs coach at Bucknell (2002-03), Eastern Kentucky (2001-02), and Northeastern (1999-00), and a tight ends coach both Eastern Kentucky and Northeastern. He has coached numerous All-Americans, Offensive Players of the Year, All-Conference players, and NFL draft selections.
McGonagle received his Bachelors Degree in Sport Management, with a minor in Business, from the University of Kentucky in 1999 and later received his Master Degree in Sport Administration from Eastern Kentucky in 2001.
He currently resides in Reading with his three daughters Sophia (9), Isabella (8), and Ava (5).
