Hoops and Hopes defeated Black Katz last night 32-16 to be crowned the 2012 Women's Five on Five Champions. The Champions had to beat Team Morrisroe and Schoolin' Life to advance to the finals. Schoolin' Life put up a tough fight in the semi-final before falling a point short, losing 18-17. Catie Peters had nine points for Schoolin' Life, which was more than the rest of her team combined for that game.
Kate Cioffi led the way for Hoops n' Hopes with twelve points on the night. Sam Stone, Katy Hasek, Jen Lever, and Laura Kanarski also shared the wealth combining for twenty points. The Black Katz saw great offensive efforts from Dianna Gustowski and Jen McBrien however they could not put enough points up to win.
