Ligers win 2011 Women's Indoor Soccer Championship
With the championship on the line, the top two seeded Women’s Indoor Soccer teams faced off in the Endicott Field House to find out which team would take home the legendary championship t-shirts. Tension filled the Field House as the Ligers and Hoof Hearted kicked off the championship game. From the first minute of the game, the aura was in the air that the match would be fast-paced and aggressive. This style of game was perfect for the Ligers, a team filled with several top notch athletes. Katie Joly, in particular, elevated her game for the championship, earning MVP honors for her two goals and strong defensive performance. Though Nikki Devlin and Victoria Hunt were able to chip away at the lead, the Ligers were able to hold off Hoof Hearted for a 5-2 victory.
