Endicott tripped up by North Shore rival Gordon, 70-63
WENHAM, Mass. – The Endicott men’s basketball team continued their recent losing skid with a 70-63 road loss to North Shore and conference rival Gordon on Tuesday evening at the Bennett Athletic Center. Senior captain Lance Greene (Dorchester, Mass.) recorded his third career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead Endicott.

Senior captain Lance Greene (Dorchester, Mass.) recorded his third career double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead Endicott.
The Gulls evened their 2012-13 overall record at 7-7 while falling to 2-5 in league play. Endicott returns home on Thursday night for a 7:30 tip-off with the University of New England.
With the win, Gordon improved to 10-5 (5-3 CCC) and will visit Nichols on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
Greene's second double-double of the season came on 5-of-17 shooting from the floor with two three pointers and 12 rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass. Greene added four dimes and two steals in 36 minutes on the court.
Greene was one of four Endicott players reach double figures in the loss which included a team-high 15 points by sophomore guard John Henault (Lunenburg, Mass.). Junior captain Bennett Knowlton (Shrewsbury, Mass.) was 4-of-8 from the floor, finishing with 12 points, five assists, and two steals and sophomore forward Andre Makris (Southbury, Conn.) added 10 points.
Greene was Endicott's leading rebounder but sophomore big man Matt Kneece (Shrewsbury, Mass.) grabbed 10 caroms to go along with four points, two assists, and a block.
Gordon senior forward David Dempsey (Wallingford, Conn.) had a game-high 18 points with seven rebounds while junior guard Shaun Roach (Weymouth, Mass.) poured in 16 points off the bench. Scots junior Park Thomas (Scottsdale, Ariz.) tallied a game-high six assists and sophomore forward Hans Miersma (Whitinsville, Mass.) totaled 11 boards and three blocks in the victory.
