Jeff Swirka enters his sixth season as an assistant coach of the Endicott women’s basketball program in 2016-17.
Swirka comes to Endicott with over 10 years of collegiate coaching experience across the NCAA DII and DIII, AAU, and high school arenas helping to in player skill development, game preparation, and team organization. He has also work at a variety of summer basketball camps with some of top collegiate regional coaches.
Swirka’s most recent coaching experience was at Saint Anselm College of the NE-10 where he served as the second assistant. He participated in pre-practice planning, on court practice instruction, in game coaching, videotape advance scouting and preparation of scouting reports.
Prior to that, Swirka was the head coach of the North Reading High School girls varsity basketball team, and an assistant coach at NEWMAC institutions — MIT and Wellesley. While at Wellesley for five seasons, Swirka’s teams reached the NCAA Tournament once and the ECAC Tournament four times. The Blue compiled a record of 86-36 during those five years and produced nine All-NEWMAC award winners and two 1,000 point scorers.
