Bio
Carly Baker enters her eighth season as head coach of the Endicott College women’s rugby program in 2025–26.
Under her leadership, the Gulls have captured four national championships in five years (2022–2025), including two 7s titles and two 15s titles, along with numerous conference and regional crowns.
Baker has also coached at the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) Select Side 7s Tournament, which brought together Division I, II, and III athletes, and the NCR 15s All-Stars. She has served for five years as a head coach for the North Atlantic Rugby Conference All-Star teams and continues to give back to the game as a women’s director on the conference board.
In the classroom, Baker’s commitment to academic excellence is reflected in her team’s achievements. Since her arrival, the women’s rugby program has maintained a combined cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.52.
A Beverly, Massachusetts native, Baker first joined the Endicott program as an assistant coach during the 2017–18 season. She is a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a certification in coaching. At Colby-Sawyer, she was captain and president of the women’s rugby team, playing fly half, while also competing as a four-year member of the women’s lacrosse program. She concluded her lacrosse career ranked ninth all-time in career assists.
Baker later earned a master’s degree in Sport Leadership from Endicott College in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership at Endicott, with a concentration in Higher Education Mission: Transformational Leading and Learning.
In addition to rugby, Baker has experience coaching lacrosse and soccer at both the youth and collegiate levels.
