Allshouse and Norley earn CCC Weekly honors for playoff bound Gulls

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – For their efforts in helping the Gulls earn a bye and the \#2 seed going into the CCC Women’s Volleyball Tournament, senior setter Sarah Allshouse (Berthoud, Colo.) and junior libero Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) were honored as this week’s CCC Offensive Player and Libero of the Week.
Endicott went 2-1 last week with both victories coming over conference opponents. The Gulls ended the regular season 14-14 (7-1 CCC) and will compete in the CCC Semifinals against the winner of the quarterfinal match between \#3 Salve Regina and \#6 Wentworth.
For the week, Allshouse averaged 9.20 assists and 3.00 digs per set while totaling eight kills, six blocks, and three service aces. Norley averaged 4.80 digs per set with a .917 reception percentage and three aces. Norley earned Libero of the Week honors for the second week in-a-row.
Endicott opened up the week with a non-conference match against \#25 Bowdoin, falling 3-0 to the Polar Bears. Allshouse compiled 23 assists and five digs with two blocks, one solo, at the net. Norley had a match-high 17 digs with two aces in the loss.
The Gulls hosted CCC foe Wentworth for Senior Day and won 3-0 over the Leopards as Allshouse finished with 34 assists, 10 digs, two kills, two blocks and an ace. Norley’s 12 digs paced the Gulls and her effective passing helped lead to a .262 team hitting percentage.
In their final match of the week, a 3-1 win over Salve Regina to secure the \#2 seed in the conference playoffs, Allshouse shined with 35 assists, 15 digs, six kills, two blocks and two aces. On defense, Norley had a team-high 19 digs while making just one reception error on 31 attempts.
