Endicott Finishes 40th Overall In 2025-26 LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings Behind School Record Points Total

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott College varsity athletics program finished 40th overall (second-best in school history) out of 422 NCAA Division III institutions in the 2025-26 LEARFIELD Directors' Cup Standings, as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Athletic Directors (NACDA).
The Directors' Cup is awarded to the athletics program with the most broad-based participation and success in NCAA Tournament postseason competition. Standings for the Directors' Cup are based on a points system that rewards a school's finish in up to 18 sports – nine men and nine women – in NCAA Championships.
Endicott compiled a school record 449.50 points, headlined by the baseball program's national runner-up finish at the College World Series last week.

Among Conference of New England (CNE) schools, Endicott ranked first overall ahead of Roger Williams (116th, 173.75), Hartford (152nd, 119.00), Suffolk (186th, 87.00), Johnson & Wales (197th, 79.00), Western New England (211th, 73.00), Wentworth (236th, 50.00), Nichols (274th, 25.00), and UNE (274th, 25).
The Gulls also concluded the year No. 11 regionally, behind Tufts (2), Williams (5), Amherst (10), MIT (11), Middlebury (13), Wesleyan (20), Bowdoin (24), Colby (31), Babson (33), and Bates (38).
Endicott's best overall finish in the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup Standings is No. 28 in the 2013-14 campaign, when the Gulls tallied a then-school-record 445.00 points.

SCORING SYSTEM EXPLAINED
Overall, 18 sports are counted in the final DIII standings, four of which must be men's and women's soccer and men's and women's basketball. The next highest (14 max.) sports scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.
Fall sports: men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer, women's volleyball, and men's water polo.
Winter sports: men's and women's basketball, fencing, men's and women's ice hockey, rifle, skiing, men's and women's swimming, men's and women's indoor track and field, and men's wrestling.
Spring sports: baseball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, women's rowing, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, men's volleyball, women's water polo.
