MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — The No. 6 Endicott women's ice hockey team tied No. 4 Middlebury, 1-1, in non-conference action on Saturday night at Chip Kenyon '85 Arena.
Trailing 1-0 early in the third period, senior defenseman Abbey Agrodnia (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) wristed home a loose puck from the high slot at the 8:30 mark to draw the game even.
Endicott finished the third period outshooting Middlebury, 15-7, but both teams remained deadlocked, forcing the overtime session.
In the extra period, Gulls' netminder Casey Moritz (Trophy Club, Texas) turned away seven shots to secure the tie. Moritiz ended the matchup with a game-high 33 saves.
